The torque would probably rip the car in half, but it'd be worth it for no other reason than to say that it was done.

To be honest, the Fiero needs the Cobalt/HHR SS turbo motor. Something lighter than iron-block V6 and I4 but with more punch. Now, a Katech in a Delorean...now we're talking!

Apparently it can be done. I didn't think a V8 would fit either direction.

I've seen a number with SBC's in them, so why not a Le Mans V8?

So, yes then.

This is most likely lighter than the V6 and Iron Duke, with waaaaaaaaaay more power.

Yeah, but I prefer balance and control over outrageous power. I mean will it go fast? Fuck yeah! I just think there're better cars out there to put that engine into.

May I point you kindly to the tag?

Whoops, did not see that!

This is not a bad idea, but in fact an awesome idea.

It would rip people's faces off!

In nearby counties.
My idea involves something even more insane. Take a Fiero, put an early-80's GM I4 engine in (either a Saab or Olds Quad), turbo it, and you have a first gen Group B GM rally car.

But this power curve proves my insanity:

No argument here. Both ideas are insane, for different reasons.

Looks like the height of the airbox wouldn't let the engine cover close... and you did make it sound like you were looking for a sleeper.

Nothing wrong with some carbon velocity stacks poking through, the sail-panels will do a good enough job of hiding them at a stoplight. ;)
